What we collect

• Newsletter subscribers: your email address, the page you subscribed from, a hash of your IP, and your user-agent string at subscribe time. Used only to send and operate The Wake.
• Site analytics: aggregate page views, referrers, and basic device info. We do not place advertising cookies and we do not sell visitor data.
• Owner Tools accounts (optional): when an editor enables our optional Owner Tools, those flows collect their own data under a separate consent. Encyclopedia readers are never enrolled.

What we never collect

• Phone numbers — we never ask for one.
• Payment information from encyclopedia readers — the encyclopedia is free and has no checkout flow.
• Newsletter subscriber data sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Email sending

The Wake is sent through Brevo (Sendinblue). Brevo processes opens and clicks so we can honor unsubscribes and detect bounces. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately and is mirrored to Brevo.

Your rights

Email privacy@boatwiki.ai to request access, correction, or deletion of any information tied to your email address. We respond within 30 days.
